Form 4BL
Big Parts, Blazing Fast
The Formlabs Form 4BL is a high-performance 3D printer designed for medical applications, offering exceptional speed and accuracy. Solve big problems with large-scale medical parts or produce many parts in one print job, so you can accelerate product development or keep production running.
For precision applications, the Form 4BL achieves 99% surface accuracy within ±100 µm. Supporting a wide range of medical workflows, including surgical guides, anatomical models, and prosthetics, it features advanced Low Force Display™ (LFD) technology for faster, reliable results. Its intuitive interface and optimised resin handling streamline production for medical professionals and healthcare facilities.
Speed at scale. A New Era of Medical Production.
The Form 4BL is revolutionizing 3D printing for medical professionals, delivering speeds up to four times faster than the Form 3L. With 13% more build volume and a 6% larger maximum part length, it is designed to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. Whether you’re producing large volumes of anatomical models or intricate medical devices, the Form 4BL enables single-piece printing, eliminating the need for assembly. Its ability to fit more small parts in one build maximizes throughput, helping healthcare providers meet increasing patient demands.
Engineered for performance, the Form 4BL outpaces traditional large-format FDM 3D printers. It can print large batches of parts per build, with most jobs completed in under six hours—significantly faster than other 3D printing technologies that often require overnight or multi-day processing. For medical professionals seeking speed, reliability, and precision, the Form 4BL is the ultimate solution.
Revolutionising Medical 3D Printing with Faster Turnarounds
Unmatched reliability. – Large Format 3D Printing for Medical Applications.
The Form 4BL has been engineered for reliability, ensuring consistent performance for high-volume medical applications. Beta testers and our in-house engineers subjected the Form 4BL to rigorous testing, pushing the printer to its limits with hundreds of prints. Its advanced LFD Print Engine and internal systems work seamlessly to deliver fast, accurate, and dependable results.
Reliability starts at the factory, where each Form 4BL undergoes a meticulous 60-point calibration and quality control inspection. Once in use, smart sensors and advanced systems ensure every print meets the highest standards. Six integrated sensors precisely monitor and control resin temperature, resin level, print forces, and print status. High-speed conduction resin heating, paired with infrared temperature sensing, automatically adjusts resin to an optimal range of 25-45 °C (77-113 °F), tailored to the material.
With the Form 4BL, you can achieve higher throughput, printing larger volumes of medical applications with consistent quality and precision.
Intuitive – Anyone can learn to print 3D medical applications in 15 minutes
Renowned for its superior end-to-end ecosystem, Formlabs ensures that the 3D printing process is seamless and accessible. With best-in-class software and validated wash and post-cure systems, the Form 4BL allows medical professionals to start printing within minutes. Designed for ease of use, it makes high-quality, professional-grade printing achievable for all.
