Frequently Asked Questions
The EinScan H2 is a handheld 3D scanner that uses a unique hybrid light source combining both structured LED and invisible infrared light. This allows it to comfortably and safely scan human faces and bodies without harsh light, and it is also highly effective for capturing photorealistic color and texture data.
The EinScan H2 uses LED and infrared light, making it a great all-around scanner, especially for human body and art-related applications. The EinScan HX uses blue LED and blue laser light, and is primarily aimed at more demanding industrial applications, as its laser mode excels at scanning reflective and dark metal surfaces.
To ensure a smooth scanning experience and fast data processing, we recommend a PC with Windows 10 (64-bit), an NVIDIA GTX1080 or higher graphics card, at least 4GB of video memory, an Intel i7-8700 or higher processor, and a minimum of 32GB of RAM.
Volumetric accuracy refers to the relationship between the accuracy of the 3D data and the size of the object. For the EinScan H2, the accuracy is reduced by $0.1\text{ mm}$ for every meter of the object scanned. The formula is: $0.05\text{ mm} + 0.1\text{ mm/m}$.
