EZtrack
Camera tracking and lens data fusion for Virtual Production creators.
Aggregate all your positional and optical data sources in real-time, through just one modular, quick to set up Hub device!
The EZtrack Hub is a compact system unit that delivers accurate tracking, compatibility with multiple tracking standards, image synchronisation, zoom/focus data readout and seamless communication with world-class 3D engines.
- For virtual studios on green screen or LED XR.
- Track any camera type in 6DOF: steady cams, dollies, cranes and PTZs.
- Full support for multi-camera setups.
- Live talent and virtual object tracking.
One Unified Interface
Intuitive interface displays all tracking information in a one-tab screen.
Lens Data Readout
Reads zoom/focus data from a wide range of digitally encoded lenses.
Timecode & Sync Inputs
Processes the Genlock signal generated across the camera’s rig.
Tracking Over IP
Operate the camera tracking via a dedicated WebApp accessible from any computer or tablet on the network.
One Hub, Several Tracking Combos
Offering unparalleled modularity for your real-time productions, the EZtrack Hub is designed to aggregate and merge positional tracking data from various sensors and protocols, such as mechanical cranes or jibs, encoded pan/tilt heads, infrared lasers, and rotary encoders. With EZtrack, the camera’s exact movements are always known at a precise timecode!
Integration with OptiTrack
With the HUB STARTER KIT, any OptiTrack user can now seamlessly integrate their existing motion capture setup with EZtrack to process high-performance camera and live talent tracking, regardless of whether the setup is a green screen cyclorama or LED volume stage.
The Hub can interface with active sensors like OptiTrack’s CinePuck and Active Puck, as well as passive rigid-bodies. The aggregator allows you to combine genlocked and time-coded tracking data with FIZ lens metadata, and sends one unified data stream to your preferred render engine in real-time.

For in-camera VFX content producers using the latest Unreal Engine 5 pipeline, the EZtrack and OptiTrack combination offers a robust, streamlined workflow for both post-production and ICVFX productions. With the EZtrack interface, users can record their tracking data live, while the LiveLink interface provides direct access to lens metadata and lens profiles.
Configuration Guidelines and Connections
Features:
This solution has been engineered to be lighter and simpler to operate than other tracking products, enabling quick deployment of your virtual studio setup with significantly less effort. Designed for virtual studio environments each EZtrack Hub unit can handle up to one camera rig and track up to two objects or live talents.
From live TV sets to on-set previsualisation, EZtrack can be integrated into various configurations:
- Virtual Studio setup for live shows/live entertainment in Augmented Reality (AR)
- Camera tracking: steady cams, handheld cameras, dollies, small cranes
- Objects tracking: 3D assets, virtual accessories
- Talent tracking: automatic depth compositing
World Class Render Engine Support
EZtrack natively communicates with major 3D rendering software. You can use either the standardised FreeD protocol to transmit tracking data or our in-house TCD protocol, which includes embedded lens intrinsic data.
